This feature of these polymers has long been one of their greatest assets. Zeus fluoropolymers and our other engineered products are ideal as transport for today&#8217;s highly volatile chemical compounds and exotic fluids.<\/p>\n<p>The widespread acceptance within the chemical, environmental, aerospace, and medical industries is a testament to our polymers&#8217; unique abilities to withstand and resist a wide variety of liquid and gaseous compounds. The minimal chemical activity of many of these polymers also makes them an excellent choice for pure water system and other potable liquid processes.<\/p>\n<h4>Exceptions<\/h4>\n<p>There are very few chemicals, such as molten alkali metals, turbulent liquid or gaseous fluorine, chlorine trifluoride, and oxygen difluoride that are known to react with fluoropolymers. To a lesser degree, halogenated organic chemicals may be absorbed by fluoropolymer resins. This absorption can sometimes be detected by a very slight change in weight of the polymer or slight swelling may possibly be observed.
