Our PTFE monofilaments are used for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zeusinc.com\/products\/filaments\/monofilament\/\">mandrels<\/a> upon which the catheter is made, while Zeus PTFE <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zeusinc.com\/products\/tubing\/sub-lite-wall-tubing\/\">Sub-Lite-Wall\u2122<\/a> or <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zeusinc.com\/products\/tubing\/streamliner-series\/\">StreamLiner\u2122 Series<\/a> catheter liners cover the mandrel and are etched to enable bonding to Pebax\u00ae or nylon jacketing. Zeus <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zeusinc.com\/products\/heat-shrinkable-tubing\/fluoropeelz-peelable-heat-shrink\/\">FluoroPEELZ\u2122<\/a> peelable heat shrink completes the construction and provides a safe and repeatable means for removing the heat shrink after jacket reflow.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" size-full wp-image-448\" src=\"https:\/\/www.zeusinc.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/Zeus-Medical-Catheter-with-Tie-Layer.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1920\" height=\"1080\" \/><\/p>\n<h3><strong>EMERGING PRODUCTS and TECHNOLOGIES<\/strong><\/h3>\n<h4><strong>Absorv\u2122 Bioabsorbable Extrusions<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>Zeus <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zeusinc.com\/products\/biomaterials\/absorv-bioabsorbable-extrusions\/\">Absorv\u2122<\/a> products can safely exist in the body for controlled lengths of time. These customized extruded device components can be made into vascular scaffolds, and can later have coatings applied for use in drug delivery. In addition to standard tubing, Absorv\u2122 can be created in oriented tubing, drawn fiber, monofilament, and ribbon.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Aeos\u2122 ePTFE<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>Our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zeusinc.com\/products\/biomaterials\/aeos-eptfe\/\">Aeos\u2122 ePTFE<\/a> (expanded PTFE) is made using Zeus\u2019 extrusion and expansion processing to create a product with microporous properties. The expansion process creates a porous structure between nodes and fibrils, resulting in a material with microporous and flexible properties highly suited to a number of medical applications. Aeos\u2122 ePTFE can be made into membranes, ribbon, tubing, monofilament (including sutures and high strength sutures), special profiles, and laminates. Membrane and tubing can be biaxially and uniaxially oriented.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Bioweb\u2122 Electrospun Nonwovens<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>Also made from PTFE, Zeus <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zeusinc.com\/products\/biomaterials\/bioweb-composites\/\">Bioweb\u2122<\/a> nonwovens have microporous properties similar to Aeos\u2122 ePTFE. These custom composites can be used to create implantable structures such as stent coverings, including balloon-expandable and self-expanding stents, and mimic the extracellular matrix to speed healing.
