Zeus heat shrink tubing provides a form-fitting solid to near-solid encapsulation that is both chemically resistant and chemically inert. Heat shrink encapsulation protects sensors and other critical components from physical and chemical trauma.<\/p>\n
REQUEST A SAMPLE<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n Dual-Shrink\u2122 is Zeus\u2019 unique bilayer heat shrink that combines heat shrinkable outer layer with a polymer inner layer. When\u00a0Dual-Shrink\u2122<\/a>\u00a0is heated, the outer layer shrinks while the inner layer melts and reflows into and around to cover the component, resulting in a solid moisture-proof encapsulation.<\/p>\n Our standard Dual-Shrink\u2122 features a\u00a0PTFE<\/a>\u00a0outer layer with an\u00a0FEP<\/a>\u00a0inner layer. This PTFE \/ FEP Dual-Shrink\u2122 provides excellent chemical resistance with a working temperature up to 450 \u00b0F (232 \u00b0C).<\/p>\n Low Temperature Dual-Shrink\u2122 (LTDS) is an FEP \/ EFEP (outer \/ inner) heat shrink better suited for covering sensors and components that cannot tolerate the higher recovery temperature of PTFE.\u00a0Low Temperature Dual-Shrink\u2122<\/a>\u00a0features a recovery temperature of 419 \u00b0F (215 \u00b0C) but still provides chemical protection equivalent to standard Dual-Shrink\u2122 and the same solid encapsulation protection. LTDS has a working temperature up to 302 \u00b0F (150 \u00b0C).<\/p>\n Zeus offers heat shrinkable tubing in several other resins that can all support your system needs.\u00a0PEEK<\/a>,\u00a0ETFE<\/a>, FEP, and PTFE heat shrinks are available to suit a variety of applications. PTFE is available in up to 4:1 shrink ratio. FEP offers high transparency, while ETFE provides excellent resistance to stress cracking for long-term use over fiber.<\/p>\n For applications demanding super-thin walls, Zeus Sub-Lite-Wall\u2122 heat shrinks feature wall thicknesses down to 0.001\u201d (0.025mm).
