These products are available in two versions: a PTFE outer \/ FEP inner layer, and a low-temperature version with an FEP outer \/ EFEP inner layer. These dual-layer heat shrinks provide tight and moisture-proof bonds over wires, cables, connectors, splices, terminals, and other essential parts.<\/p>\n<p>Dual-Shrink\u2122 works like this: When heated, the outer layer shrinks tightly over inserted parts while the inner layer melts and flows into a solid or near-solid encapsulation. The result is a fit so tight that it can withstand severe stresses involving pull or vibration.<\/p>\n<p>Zeus Dual-Shrink\u2122 tubing provides all the outstanding electrical, chemical, and mechanical properties of fluoropolymers, but in a bilayer form. Our PTFE \/ FEP Dual-Shrink\u2122 has a continuous service temperature up to 450 \u00b0F (232 \u00b0C). The PTFE outer layer has a recovery (shrinkage) temperature between 654 \u00b0F (346 \u00b0C) and 670 \u00b0F (354 \u00b0C) and offers superior corrosion resistance.<\/p>\n<p>Our Low Temperature Dual-Shrink\u2122 has a continuous upper working temperature of up to 302 \u00b0F (150 \u00b0C), and the FEP outer layer recovers at 419 \u00b0F (215 \u00b0C).
